Krk’s galley Cristo Ressussitato and its crew are the starting point for a program connecting maritime history, music, and island heritage. The event marks the 455th anniversary of the Battle of Lepanto with a book presentation, an exhibition, concerts, and a closer look at objects from the Skomeršić Collection.

- 18:00, Small Council Chamber of the City of Krk – Branko Belamarić, PhD, presents his book Bojni brodovi, uspon i nestanak.
- The book covers naval history, ship development, and the politics of leading world powers in more than 500 pages.
October 2
- 18:00, Decumanus Gallery – opening of the international exhibition Adriatic and Ionian Ships in the Modern Era (1650–1850), curated by Zrinka Podhraški Čizmek, PhD.
- 20:00, Krk Cathedral – Ansambl Responsorium performs Splendida stella, a program exploring sacred music in 17th-century Venice.
- Tin Cugelj is the ensemble’s artistic director, and music by Francesco Usper forms the core of the concert program.
October 3
- 18:00, Krk Island Maritime Heritage Interpretation Center – Clocks from the Skomeršić Collection, a guided introduction led by Željko Skomeršić.
- 20:00, Kamplin Square – Klapa Kaštadi from Poljica performs the concert program Jedno more, tisuću pjesama.
- The group’s repertoire spans local traditional songs, regional popular music, and works from across the Mediterranean.
Exhibition and commemoration
- The exhibition at Decumanus Gallery runs from 02.10.2026 through 22.10.2026.
- Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00–12:00 and 18:00–20:00.
- From 01.10.2026 through 05.10.2026, an information panel will be displayed beside the tomb of galley commander Ljudevit Čikuta in Krk Cathedral.
- A Mass commemorating those who died in the Battle of Lepanto takes place at Krk Cathedral on 07.10.2026 at 19:00.
- Admission to the book presentation, exhibition, concerts, and guided visit is free.
